Here's some guidelines when you're expecting a package / parcel sent from other countries to the Philippines via EMS.
Tracking Number is King
Make sure you have your tracking number so you can track your package online. You should be provided with a tracking number if you ordered online. If you were not given any or if it was sent to you by someone ask the seller / sender for it if.
Usually EMS tracking numbers start with EE followed by 8 or 9 numbers then followed by 2 more alphabets which show the country of origin. So for example a tracking number for a package from China to the Philippines would look like EE123456789CN.

I suggest using this website http://www.17track.net/IndexEn.html , it's already linked to all EMS tracking sites.

Arrival at Sorting Center (REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES MNL CMEC EMS) - Your package arrived at Manila, the package might be on its way to your local Post office or if you're unlucky it will be held by customs. Wait for further updates.
Attempted delivery (REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES PHZONE7 )
What it means: Your package is in your local post office. The post office attempted to deliver your package or your notice card but it was not successful due to the following reasons:
- you or an authorized representative were not available to accept it
- postal office scheduled it to be delivered but they were not able to do it (ex. there's been a lot of deliveries and your package didn't make the cut, postman is absent, vehicle failure etc.)
What to do: Call your post office, give them your tracking number and ask them if they will be delivering the package or if you would need to pick it up.
Handed over to Customs (REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES MNL CMEC EMS)
What it means: Your package caught the eye of customs official, the package is in the custody of EMS Pasay. It doesn't always mean that you would pay taxes, but your item will be inspected by a customs officer. He will determine how much taxes you would need to pay or if it's exempted.
What to do: Start praying that you won't get a customs officer na halang ang kaluluwa. You would need to claim your package in Pasay (if you're in Metro Manila). If you're outside of Metro Manila you would might need to contact EMS to forward the package to your local post office (if they haven't forwarded it yet, but usually they do).
Released from Customs (REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES MNL CMEC EMS) - You have claimed the package from the customs office in Pasay.
Delivery (REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES MNL CMEC EMS) - Your item was delivered to your doorstep (this is getting rare nowadays) or you have claimed the package from the customs office in Pasay. Congratulations!

prepare the following

Thank you for the tips and ideas, I have a package which came from Africa, My friend told me that it will take 48 hours or more to get to the Philippines since he sent the package yesterday. Im just waiting for the parcel, I"m from Metro Manila, Is there a chance that it will not be forwarded to the custom, The package is so much cost, will they open and check the package?? ReplyDeleteIt looks like the package is up for customs examination, you probably need to pick it up at EMS if you're in Metro Manila. If you still don't have the notice card, you can call them up and ask for status.

ReplyDeleteDelivery time varies e. If it's regular airmail, usually 3-4 weeks and can take up to 2 months. If EMS dapat 7-10 days lang.

- try calling between 10AM-4PM M-F
- if nobody's answering try it again after a couple of hours

Feeling ko di pa naaupdate dito sa Philippines. May pag-asa pa kayang maideliver yun to my home pagkatapos mainspect? Kasi from Malaysia lang naman siya and the value is not in dollars at yung tatlong naunang parcels na pinadala sa akin from Malaysia sa bahay ko diniliver.

ReplyDeleteHello, I sent a package/box of Christmas gifts to my boyfriend in Seychelles through manila post office on November 20. They guaranteed that it would be there within 10 to 15 days because it was air cargo. I checked the tracking number online and it said that it was sent out on November 22. Furthermore I emailed ems inquiring about where my package was and they gave me little info saying that it was forwarded to country of destination on November 22 at 8:58pm with PHMNLA / ZAJNBC bill # 0108 and flight #KL -0808 . It is already 15 days since it was sent out on nov 22 and im worried that it wont get to him on time because he is leaving the country for holidays. I just want him to get it on time so he has Christmas gifts to open from me. Please help me find my package. You might want to consider calling your local post office or personally go there to check if your package is still there. ReplyDeletei ordered in aliexpress last june30 2016, arrived in Ph last july4, until july25 the packaged is in thier hand, i just kept messaging my cousin in Ph to call EMS, they alwayz say its under computation for tax,,,after 21days in thier hand just for computation "they say" they release it, and today my wife will pick up this packaged in my local post office in puerto galera, they dont mention about the tax, im a bit worried maybe they open it, and i ask her again to opn this item directly in post office and send me the picture whats inside...hope tomorrow everything will be alright...

ReplyDeleteShare ko lang po ang mga tips sa pag claim ng registered mail sa Philpost office sa inyong lugar. Kung ang tracking number ay may status na "Enroute to delivery office" at sa Metro Manila ipinadala ang item from abroad, after 3 working days, pwede na ito iclaim sa central post office kung saan ka nakatira. Example kung sa QC ang address mo, sa QC Central Post office mo ic-claim kahit walang notice card basta may dala kang valid ID at alam mo yung tracking number ng item. P112 ang postal fee per parcel. Kung maliit lang ang value ng kukunin mo, at hindi electronics,kadalasan kahit dumaan ng Customs, irerelease din nila ng walang taxes. Nakabili ako ng music albums at dvd sa CDjapan.com at naclaim ko ang parcel sa loob ng 9days sa aking local post office (kasama ang sat at sun sa bilang) at sa Ebay Korea, nakuha ko naman ang item sa loob ng 14days (kasama ang sat at sun). Pwedeng itrack ang parcel gamit ang Philpost tracker: tnt.phlpost.gov.ph may email address din sila sa philpost tracker page para sa mga concerns at mga tanong.
